Tate Kuerbis (Jordan Senior Footwear Designer) created the Jordan 18 shoes. Tate Kuerbis is a person that had been part of the Retro Jordans footwear design team since 1999 and he works for Nike/jb since 1995.
The inspiration of the design is a combination of a number of things: Carbon fiber-based monocoque of F1 race cars, Sleek racing lines of the auto world, Fine Italian dress Jordan 18 sneakers (bold stitching on the soles) and Jordan B'loyal.
